Workshops & Seminars
Crank Up Your Education to 11!
Workshops are group classes that anyone may attend and take place either at one of our studio locations or at a group meet-up location such as a library, museum or school. Workshops are a really great way to get super in-depth insight about the more intricate and fascinating aspects of music that can often get overlooked in private lessons. Take a look below at just a few of our more popular subjects. Be sure to contact one of our locations to find out the dates and times of specific classes being offered.
Advanced Music Theory
Learning how to play is half the battle, the other half is knowing how and why what you’re playing works – or doesn’t. Learning the ‘rules’ of music is the best way to learn how to break those rules in interesting and creative ways. Music theory will bring a new flavor to your music and help you claim a style that is unique and all your own. It will also provide you with valuable ways to communicate ideas with other musicians. They will thank you for knowing your theory, we promise! Music theory is taught in conjunction with your other lessons as it applies to your instrument but if you want a truly in-depth knowledge of music theory & history, you can take this course on it’s own.
Recording & Producing
Audio Engineering is the science of sounds and the art of recording & mixing them. You’ll learn everything you need to know to make your very own broadcast quality records. We’ll learn about choosing microphones and instruments, signal chains, mixing consoles, production software and performance editing. Analog or digital, you’re going to sound better than ever.
Music Marketing & Artist Development
Producing and creating an unforgettable recording experience takes a collaboration of many different variables. Rockstars of Tomorrow employs a superbly hand crafted team of song writers, producers, engineers and musicians with decades of experience. What if I need to cancel a lesson?
We understand that life happens and it can be difficult to attend every class each week. In the event you need to cancel a lesson, we ask the courtesy that you please call or email the studio with a 24 hour notice when possible so we are aware of your absence. In very rare circumstances, several unexcused absences can result in the removal from a class or the missing of a performance. We will supply a substitute instructor or offer a makeup class when an instructor is not available to teach a class. While we do our best to avoid any missed lessons, we cannot guarantee this will be an option every time but you will never pay for lessons that were properly cancelled or never scheduled.
Can I take lessons at more than one location?
Absolutely. Many students prefer to take lessons from one location and classes from another. We will do our best to set you up with whatever combination of classes, lessons, and locations you prefer but please be aware that we can not always predict schedule conflicts so it is important that you let us know well in advance if you notice any possible conflicts.
Can I change plans or cancel at any time?
There are no contracts and you can always cancel at anytime. To discontinue lessons and suspend automatic charges, simply notify the front desk at least one week prior to the date of your next charge. Notice given to the instructors only, verbally or otherwise as well as continued non-attendance does not constitute withdrawal from lessons or classes.
Are there additional costs?
There are never any hidden costs or fees. We pride ourselves on our customer service and we are always willing to discuss any charges or invoice questions you might have. Please be aware that all rates are subject to change at any time. In the event of a rate change students & parents will be notified in writing in advance. Once you are registered in our system, you will receive an invoice at the beginning of every month sent to the email address that you provided.
When are payments due?
Typically your monthly fee will be deducted on the 1st of every month from the credit card you place securely on file. If you want to pay your invoice on a different day of the month or pay in person, please let the front desk know and we will do our best to accommodate your preferences. A late fee of 10% may be applied to any invoices more than 15 days past due. Once you are registered in our system, you will receive an invoice at the beginning of every billing cycle sent to the email address that you provided. A secure payment can be made directly to that invoice online.
Are short months prorated?
Yes. We consider three to five lessons taught per month as a full month. An invoice will be prorated for 2 or less lessons per month. We typically close on the following days each year: New Year’s Day, Labor Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving and the day after, Christmas… including any days between Christmas and New Year’s Day.
Are there additional payment options?
Yes. Payment options we can accept include Visa, Master Card, American Express, PayPal, checks made payable to Rockstars Of Tomorrow, and cash. Rockstars of Tomorrow has a returned check fee policy of $35.00.
Can I learn more than one instrument at a time?
Absolutely! In fact, we encourage this as it’s a fantastic way to learn and better retain your skills. If this is something you’re interested in please let us know and we will do our best to fit you with an instructor who can teach the instruments you’re interested in learning. You don’t need to pay extra or schedule additional lessons as your time with your instructor is yours to do with as you wish. Please be aware however that not all instructors are able to teach multiple instruments so in certain instances you may need to sign up for additional classes if there is no instructor available to teach the combination of instruments you’re looking to learn.
What if I want an hour long lesson?
Well then, you’re extra awesome. Hour long lessons are available if you wish. For each half hour of lessons after the first lesson you sign up for per week we will take off $10 from the cost, this included hour long lessons.
Can I get a bi-weekly lesson plan?
In certain circumstances bi-weekly lesson plans can be done. We will try our absolute best to accommodate any scheduling requests you have but please be aware that this is not always possible and largely depends on your availability, your instructor’s availability, and hours of operation.
Are there discounts for multiple students?
Yes! A $10 discount if applied to every additional lesson you schedule after the first. This includes multiple students on the same account as well as single students who enroll in more than one lesson. The discount does not apply to performance classes such as BandCore or JamCore and the discount is never more than $10 for for any lesson.
