2019 Summer AllStars
Hosted by Rockstars Of Tomorrow Rancho Cucamonga
The time has come once again for the Rockstars Of Tomorrow Summer AllStars auditions. This year, to celebrate America’s birthday and the start of summer, the AllStars will be performing an amazing musical tribute to American summer at two of our biggest shows of the year. Get ready to join the legendary AllStars band and headline this year’s ROT’n To The Core Music Festival on June 30th, as well as the Rancho Cucamonga Fireworks Spectacular on July 4th.
Every year the excitement surrounding the summer AllStars auditions grow and this year, we expect nothing less than another fantastic turnout of incredibly talented musicians for this years’ auditions of students as they put their skills to the test so they can join the elite Rockstars Of Tomorrow AllStars band. If you are new to Rockstars Of Tomorrow or have never auditioned because you don’t think you’re ready we highly encourage you to give it a shot. The audition experience alone can help you grow as a musician in many different ways.
The Auditions
This year’s AllStars auditions will be held online through social media!
Everyone who auditions will need to select one song from the audition Song List below to practice and then perform in a video. Record a clip of your best performance of one these songs that is approximately 60 seconds or longer and upload your video to Facebook and with the hashtag “#2019summerallstars” and be sure to also tag us with “@rockstarsrancho” so we can be notified of your submission. All submission posts must include both tags and be set to public in order to qualify.
The deadline to submit your audition video is June 8th by midnight. The results will be posted on our Facebook page on June 9th by 8:00 pm.
Auditions will be judged by the skill and charisma of the performer and not by the audio or video quality. We encourage you to start working on your audition song immediately. Let your instructors know you plan on auditioning and ask them for help with your song selection. Most of your instructors will be available for extra lessons if you choose to work a little harder towards a perfect audition. Students may audition for one or two positions only.

If You Are Selected
Members of the 2019 Summer AllStars band will be involved in all rehearsals and performances. Every minute of the AllStars experience is rewarding, both emotionally and physically. Band members make lots of new friends, work at extremely high levels with other talented musicians, and perform as the headliners at an exclusive concert. This experience elevates everyone’s ability to the next level and beyond.
AllStars will need to be available for rehearsals for the entire week of Monday, June 24th through Friday, June 28th from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. Once you get your final band assignments, you will also be given your rehearsal schedule for that band which will be either 10:00 am to 2:00 pm or 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. We will be dividing the rehearsal hours up into two sections so some students may not need to be available the entire day, however, since many students will get to perform in both groups we ask that you be available for the whole day during the rehearsal week and we will narrow that down for you when we get the final lineup.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I audition for multiple positions like vocals and guitar?
Yes, you can. However, you are limited to only two different categories. Depending on your score in each field, and how deep we run at musicians at each position, Rockstars of Tomorrow reserves the right to choose whether you are in one position or both.
Do I need to attend every rehearsal and performance?
It is important that you are available for all rehearsals and performances. However, we know that can be difficult. There will be a certain amount of time that we will deem as acceptable to miss, anything beyond that and you will risk not being able to perform with the AllStar band. It takes a great deal of hard work and dedication to perform this show at such a high level.
Are parents allowed to stay in rehearsals?
We have found that our band members work harder and more efficient when their parents are not present. 99% of the time the musicians love being at practice and it is the parent who keeps checking their watch wondering how much longer. We would like for parents to drop their kids off and come back later to pick them up. We will have a signup list for a couple parent volunteers at each rehearsal.
Am I able to sing and play my audition song by myself without the house band?
Absolutely! We encourage creative versions of songs and if you want to sing and play by yourself, have at it! In fact, there will be an extra point awarded to vocalists who perform their audition piece by themselves with their instrument.
Can I audition for different instruments if they are different than what I am enrolled in lessons for?
Yes, you can. Many of our students are continually changing their classes so they can become more proficient on other instruments. In some cases, their current class may be something that they are more qualified to audition.
Do I have to choose a song from the audition song list?
Yes, vocalists and instrumentalist must audition with one of the pre-selected songs from the audition songs list. Keep in mind that some songs focus on specific instruments and may not be the best choice to audition with on your particular instrument or vocal range. Ask your instructors for advice on selecting the best song for your specific instrument.
IS IT ALL ABOUT ME?
As a member of the All-Stars band, you are part of a team. Everyone involved is equally as important and we treat everyone like that.
