The Auditions
Auditions will be held on Sunday October 7th starting at 1:00pm at Rockstars of Tomorrow Norco. Please register here: 2018 AllStar Audition Registration Form so we know you are coming.
This year, we are doing things a little different. Students who wish to audition will be asked to perform up to 1 minute of whatever musical piece they desire. Their audition will take place privately in front of a team of instructors and music professionals. We’ll be looking for ability, stage presence, accuracy, execution, difficulty and more. During the audition process, you will be asked to perform small test’s like reading a chord chart, singing in harmony, playing a different feel, etc.
Students may audition for 1 or 2 positions only. Please make sure you select each instrument you will be auditioning for on the registration form. 2018 AllStar Audition Registration Form
We encourage you to start working on your audition piece immediately. We purposely shortened the amount of time you have to work on it so we can see how you do with very little preparation. Let your instructor know what your thinking about auditioning with so they can give you last minute advice.
Winners will be announced via email no later than the end of the day following the audition.
The Investment
The commitment from both you as a professional musician and our team of instructors is crucial for a successful outcome. As an AllStar you will be working closely with our best instructors and students who made the cut. Rehearsals will be intensive and calculated. Fund raising options like a carwash, candy sales and even a Kick Starter Campaign are options. In the past, AllStars have asked family members, friends and business owners to pitch in. Rockstars of Tomorrow will gladly provide a letter for you to hand out to your potential investors. Whatever it takes!!!!
If You Are Selected
As a member of the 2018 AllStar Band, you will be involved in all rehearsals and performances. Every minute of the AllStar experience is rewarding both emotionally and physically. Band members make lots of new friends, work at extremely high levels with other talented musicians and perform exclusive live music concerts multiple times over the holiday season. This experience elevates everyone’s ability to the next level and beyond.
AllStars will need to be available for weekly rehearsals starting Saturday mornings in November and performances throughout the month of December. Students who make the team will be expected to work closely with their instructors learning all the parts they’ll be performing on the show’s set list so when rehearsals begin in November, they are confident and prepared. Our first rehearsal/meeting will start on Saturday, November 3rd. Rehearsals are set to take place every Saturday in November starting around 10am and ending by 2:00pm. A final party/rehearsal will take place on Friday, November 30th so we can celebrate with our friends and family before we take the show live. * We may opt to move the Saturday rehearsal on November 24th to Sunday November 25th due to the Thanksgiving Holiday.
We anticipate to perform about 5-6 concerts in the month of December. In the past, we have performed at places like:
The Mission Inn’s Festival of Lights
The House of Blues
The Shoppes at Chino Hills
Saddleback at Universal City Walk
Saddleback at Universal Hollywood
Downtown Brea
Los Angeles Children’s Hospital
Aim to Love Feed The Homeless
Rockstars Of Tomorrow Christmas Party
and many more!

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I audition for multiple positions like vocals and guitar?
Yes you can however, you are limited to only 2 different categories. Depending on your score in each field, and how deep we run at musicians at each position, Rockstars of Tomorrow reserves the right to choose whether you are in one position or both.
Do I need to attend every rehearsal and performance?
This year we are scheduling a lot less rehearsal time than in the past so with that, we are expecting a 100% commitment to the weekly rehearsals. It takes a great deal of hard work and dedication to perform this show at such a high level. If you know in advance of any dates that will be tough, please discuss with us privately before making the decision to not audition.
Are parents allowed to stay in rehearsals?
We have found that our band members work harder and more efficient when their parents are not present. 99% of the time the musicians love being at practice and it is the parent who keeps checking their watch wondering how much longer. We would like for parents to drop their kids off and come back later to pick them up. We will have a signup list for a couple parent volunteers at each rehearsal.
Am I able to audition with a background track?
Yes, however, it is your responsibility to bring your background track in MP3 format only.
Can I audition for different instruments if they are different than what I am enrolled in lessons for?
Yes you can. Many of our students are continually changing their classes so they can become more proficient on other instruments. In some cases, their current class may be something that they are more qualified to audition.
Is there a limit to how many people get to audition?
In efforts to keep the audition at a reasonable amount of time, Rockstars Of Tomorrow reserves the right to close the audition sign ups after a certain date if we feel that the list is filled. We encourage you to sign up immediately to secure a spot on the list.
Can I book extra lessons to help prepare for the AllStar team?
We encourage you to do whatever it takes to be the greatest musician you can be on that stage with the AllStar team. Ask our front desk about available lesson times.
